Welcome Show

Curtis Carlyle is a professional juggler and 5th generation Oregonian, born in a lighthouse in Rhode Island. Curt (as his friends call him,) is from a first generation circus family with a rich history going back to 2001. A long time member of the Portland jugglers. Curt gained his knowledge and passion for juggling by attended weekly meet ups at Reed College. Curtis has been featured in the Portland jugglers festival gala show numerous time, with collaborators such as Thom Wall, Matt Hall, Vaughn Murry and Brittany Walsh. Curt has also helped run the yearly Portland Renegade show stage since 2006. He has an IJA medal for street performing and team stage competition. Curt has performed in shows on Broadway and off the beaten path, while juggling and making mirth. When not touring the country with the big stage illusion and magic show “Shazam” or juggling in from of a 12 piece band with the March Fourth Marching Band Curt can be seen performing his own original hour long comedy and juggling act for corporate and community events world wide. Currently in Portland Oregon, a member of the Rose City Circus and Dante’s Sinferno Caberet. Curt is now creating, coaching, contributing and collaborator at a fresh circus space in SE Portland, Jaja PDX. Curt is excited to be at this years IJA event hosting the welcome show and sharing time with jugglers.

Stephen Doutt, aka Space Marbles, started jugging at the tiny age of 12 when he discovered what a diabolo is. Born and raised in a small town outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Stephen later moved to Philadelphia in 2017 to attend the inaugural class of Circadium School of Contemporary Circus. Stephen is currently producing a solo, site-specific show titled “Hazard House” and is super excited about causing mayhem in a nearly 100 year old attic. Stephen’s Welcome Show act is a trailer for that show which will play at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.

Christian Kloc is a juggler, circus educator and writer. Christian learned to juggle as a child, and escaped from working in restaurant kitchens to juggle full time in 2016. His favorite job so far was working with Gandini Juggling for the Met Opera’s production of Akhnaten. In 2017, Christian co-founded The Circus District, an online resource for D.C. circus artists, students and circus enthusiasts. He currently lives in Boulder, Colorado, where he accidentally went back to working in kitchens, teaching kids to cook (and sometimes juggle).

Kaylin Meyers is from Muskegon, Michigan. Kaylin started juggling after an arm fracture in 2019. She used juggling as physical therapy, then started posting her progress on tik tok in 2020. She has amassed over half a million followers on the app, a spot on the Top 40 jugglers of 2022, a World Joggling Medalist, and won the IJA Flamingo Club Award last year in Cedar Rapids. She returns to the IJA in South Bend to perform on stage for the very first time in her juggling career.

Originating from Colorado, Cam Resch, known by many as The Mighty BearSnake 🐻🐍, is a playful and panache club juggler. Cam has well over a decades worth of experience playing with lights in the dark and zealously sharing both their performance art and knowledge surrounding it. Largely inspired by receiving “light-shows” as a teenager, Cam has ferociously pursued whatever art forms that currently encapsulate their focus, and eventually settled on club manipulation for the last 7.5 years. Juggling has left a profound impact on Cam and they strive to spread the boundless joys it has brought into their life as far and wide as possible.

Chicago built and based, Rozbot has performed and taught professionally for 13 years now. Not satisfied with just moving excellently, they meticulously dissect and breakdown movements and illusions into their component parts so as to better understand and share the boogie. Forever cooking up something funky in the lab. Now, come take a journey through the Uncanny Valley with Rozbot!

Kenzey is from Denver, Colorado. She has taught and performed all over the US, and internationally. She has been working with hoops for over 12 years starting with single hoop and double hoop, moving into juggling and three hoop manipulation. Kenzey is passionate about teaching others the joys hoop juggling. Her performance piece combines a unique style of hooping, juggling, and modern dance.
