Curtis Carlyle is a professional juggler and 5th generation Oregonian, born in a lighthouse in Rhode Island. Curt (as his friends call him,) is from a first generation circus family with a rich history going back to 2001. A long time member of the Portland jugglers. Curt gained his knowledge and passion for juggling by attended weekly meet ups at Reed College. Curtis has been featured in the Portland jugglers festival gala show numerous time, with collaborators such as Thom Wall, Matt Hall, Vaughn Murry and Brittany Walsh. Curt has also helped run the yearly Portland Renegade show stage since 2006. He has an IJA medal for street performing and team stage competition. Curt has performed in shows on Broadway and off the beaten path, while juggling and making mirth. When not touring the country with the big stage illusion and magic show “Shazam” or juggling in from of a 12 piece band with the March Fourth Marching Band Curt can be seen performing his own original hour long comedy and juggling act for corporate and community events world wide. Currently in Portland Oregon, a member of the Rose City Circus and Dante’s Sinferno Caberet. Curt is now creating, coaching, contributing and collaborator at a fresh circus space in SE Portland, Jaja PDX. Curt is excited to be at this years IJA event hosting the welcome show and sharing time with jugglers.
